SmartVenice approach to action and implementation relies on a participatory and inclusive action-research methodology. Beside leveraging on benchmarking and exchanging good practices with partners, our projects start from needs and active involvement of stakeholders and final beneficiaries, with a co-creation and co-design approach to be adapted to specific contexts and territories.

SmartVenice promotes and supports:

CALIPER. Linking research & innovation for gender equality

The CALIPER project, funded within the H2020- Swafs program, and kicked off in January 2020, aims at driving a structural change process and implementing Gender Equality Plans in 7 Research Performing and 2 Research Funding organizations, involving the highest and middle management levels since the beginning to impact the whole institution. The project goal is to make research organizations more gender equal by increasing the number of female researchers in STEM, improving their careers prospects and integrating. Read more

CASPER. Certification-Award Systems to Promote gender Equality in Research

The CASPER project, in response to the H2020 SwafS-11-2019 call, aims at examining the feasibility of establishing a European award or certification system for gender equality in research organisations. On the basis of an in-depth assessment of existing relevant systems, the project proposes to devise and validate four scenarios, including a no-action scenario, in co-creation with national and international stakeholders. GE Academy

GE Academy is a Horizon 2020 project which aims to develop and implement a high-quality capacity-building programme on gender equality in research, innovation and higher education. The consortium strives for increasing skills of those who are implementing measures towards gender equality in their institutions (management, administrators, HR managers, academic staff etc.) and will offer face to face training, workshops, webinars, summer schools and DOCCs (Distributed Open Collaborative Courses). Families Share. Innovative co-created solutions to sustain work life balance in cities and working places

Families_Share is a H2020 ICT-CAPS project led by Università Ca’ Foscari, aimed at the grassroot co-creation of an on line platform to support parents in local communities to self organize and share time and resources for childcare, to improve work life balance and promote a gender equal redistribution of care tasks.
