SmartVenice founders merge their senior cross disciplinary expertise in social and cognitive sciences, the economy of tourism and culture, business process engineering to support local regional and transnational innovation in their area of compentence.
Main research areas are sustainable tourism solutions, inclusive and innovative welfare services, gender and diversity mainstreaming in innovation. All these areas can be boosted and deeply innovated by Future Internet and mobile –cloud based technologies and new ecosystems as well as new networking, sharing and collaboration patterns they generate.
The SmartVenice approach is focusing on environmental and social sustainability within innovation; it privileges research/design methods based on participation and co-creation to come to solutions and services which are based on people needs and help contrasting discrimination and exclusion.
The team can build on broad transnational networks, as well as previous cooperations with several local, italian and EU level stakeholders to design EU project applications under H2020 and other EU funded programmes: the goal is to put their international networks and expertise in project management at the service of innovative groundbreaking ideas capable of nourishing social change towards more sustainable futures.
