Since January 2018, Smart Venice is proud partner of a new H2020,  Gender Equality Academy, a multidisciplinary team of 12 organisations from universities and research centres to SMEs striving for supporting capacity building of European research organizations to promote gender-equal research and innovation.

ViLabs, Yellow Window, Knowledge & Innovation – School of sociology and interdisciplinary research, Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Smart Venice, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Universidad Politecnica Madrid, Büro für nachhaltige Kompetenz B-NK, TU Dublin, CNRS, Central European University and Kilden Gender Research – have joined with a common mission aiming at developing and implementing a coherent and high-quality capacity-building programme on gender equality in research and innovation (R&I), based on state-of-the-art knowledge and expertise in the field of gender equality and to provide tailor-made training material. Partners are currently researching the state of play, conducting a needs assessment and stakeholders consultations, defining quality standards and designing the programme, which will be pilot tested at the beginning of the year 2020, and will include face to face training, workshops, webinars, Summer Schools, and DOCCs – Distributed Open Collaborative Courses. Smart Venice is in charge of the e-learning component of the GEAcademy (webinars and DOCCs) and the evaluation of the whole training programme. Beside that, SV is leading the WP aimed at setting up a Pan European Network of Gender Trainers and defining sustainability scenarios.
